WELCOME:

On behalf of Bishop Charles W Johnson and 1st Lady Rochelle Johnson, and the entire ministerial staff at Miracle Temple Church of Faith. Welcome to the family of Christ, We are excited about your decision to give your life to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ or become a member at Miracle Temple Church of Faith. We also thank God for the opportunity to work with you as you begin this journey.

The New Membership is a program designed for those who are new in their walk with the Lord or becoming a member at Miracle Templechurch of faith. This program will provide you with some necessary tools to assist you in your transition. This program consists of two basic parts, two forty-five-minute sessions that will provide an overview of salvation. The two sessions will be taught in the church Annex. Time TBA This paperwork contains information pertaining to your forty-five-minute overview as well as several scriptures.

ASSURANCE PART 1

Welcome

Promises of salvation-Roman 10:9-10

*Salvation means deliverance, being delivered from sin

*How do you know you're delivered from sin?

*This scripture can lead a person to Christ.

*you can only find salvation through Jesus Christ.

*Understanding how you received the Promise

*Acknowledging or admitting you are a sinner 

*Roman 3:23 because of Adam and Eve's sin entered into the world 

*Luke 18:13 the publican was admitting that he was a sinner; He was pouring out his soul to the lord, publican means tax collector.

*Repenting of your sin and being Heartily Sorry

Mark 1:15 Jesus was telling them to repent, and believe in the gospel

Acts 3:19 tells them to repent, so their sins can be blotted out, and Jesus Christ can enter into your life.

*Receiving the promise

*Assurance of eternal life

*1John 5:10-13 God gives us eternal life through his son that is the testimony

*The promise is easy as A (Admit) B (Believe) C (Confess)

Assignment # 1: memorize 1John 1:9: we all make mistakes, young people are our future.

*Jesus -ll Corinth 5:21 Jesus become sin for us Matt 1:21 Talking about the birth of Jesus

*Holy spirit-1 Corinth 12;3 no one can proclaim Jesus is Lord without the Holy Spirit, A person speaking about the Holy Spirit will never curse Jesus 

John 4:24

Acts 1:8 once the Holy Spirit comes on you; you can be a witness for Jesus 

Luke 11:9 Jesus saying ask him for the Holy Spirit

*Understanding how one grows in the promise by realizing we are made up of

Body-is the person or the flesh, this is what we live in 1 cor 6:19 your body is the temple of God 

Soul-the life in the person mind emotion and personhood  Rom 12:2 Renewing of the mind deals with your soul (See Touch Taste Hear Feel)

Spirit -The only spirit communicate or witness to your spirit, The only spirit part of man that survives death  Now the spirit don't sin, the body & the soul sin

Quiet Time 

*Prayer -pray always no matter how many times a day, when you pray just to talk to God, don’t try to use those big words Matt 18:20

*God word-II Timothy 3:16

Doctrine- the teaching of God word, what we need in our life

Reproof-the conviction of the sinner, telling us what is wrong

Correction-setting something straight, Teaching us what's right

Training up in the righteousness-the process in training a child in the Lord, teaching us how to live 

Christain Fellowship

*Attend Church-A place where you worship the Lord, to hear God's word. to fellowship. Heb 10:25

*Attend Bible Study-learn God's word in-depth. II Tim 2:15

*Utilize an Accountability-Partner two or three gather together in his name he is in the mist

*Understanding the role of the Water Baptism John 3:5

Communion- 1 cor 11 verse 23-29 (Read from Bible) if you ever have an issue with anybody get it right with them

Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Matt 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

II Cor 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

II Tim 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
